Dial8 is a South African product studio. We respect your privacy and limit our use of personal information to what is needed to operate our website, communicate with you and provide services you authorise.
Information we collect
We may collect information you choose to provide when you contact us, enquire about our services or work with us. This can include your name, email address, organisation and the contents of your message.
Our website and hosting providers may also process limited technical information needed to deliver and secure the website, such as your IP address, browser type, device information, requested pages and access times.
Connected social media services
If an authorised Dial8 user connects a social media account, including LinkedIn, the service may provide us with account identifiers, profile information, access tokens and the permissions granted during authorisation.
We use this information only to authenticate the connection, display its status and perform actions the authorised user requests, such as publishing approved content. We do not sell this information or use it to publish without an explicit user action.
How we use information
We use information where reasonably necessary to:
- respond to enquiries and communicate with clients;
- provide, maintain and improve our website and services;
- operate authorised integrations and publishing tools;
- protect our systems, users and business from misuse; and
- meet applicable legal and regulatory obligations.
Sharing and service providers
We may share information with service providers that help us host, secure or operate our services, and with connected platforms when needed to complete an action you request. These providers process information under their own terms and privacy policies. We may also disclose information where required by law or to protect legal rights.
Storage and retention
We retain information only for as long as it is reasonably needed for the purposes described in this policy, to provide our services, resolve disputes or meet legal obligations. Connection credentials are protected using appropriate technical safeguards and access controls. No method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure.
Your choices and rights
You may disconnect a connected social account at any time through the relevant service or by contacting us. You may also ask us to access, correct or delete personal information we hold about you, subject to applicable law.
To make a privacy or data-deletion request, email hello@dial8.co.za.
Children’s privacy
Our website and business services are not directed to children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our services or legal obligations change. The latest version will always appear on this page with its effective date.
